Courtesy of the horse pill-sized pain killer (Ibuprofen 600) I took before bed last night, I actually had a relatively good sleep without any headache. Thank eight pound, six ounce baby Jesus! I know today is going to be really overwhelming!
I was also able to take in a few old eps of Family Guy (brief vid comment to follow), caught the rerun of the season opener for Top Chef (love, love, love... really excited!), and finished off my TV watching with the new ep of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. God those bitches are crazy! Somehow though all of this mind-numbing drivel is considered entertainment, and you'd think that me (being the true cynic that I am) would see through that. Wrongo dongo. These are actually some of my top ranked shows. I usually can't wait until my night classes get out so that I can rush home and watch them after the game is off.
Anyway, to save on valuable blog-authoring energy (like I said, I have a long day ahead of me), I thought that I'd include a few of the video clips that correspond with last night's shows so that I might entice some of you to also love the shows as much as I do. Obviously you don't get a choice. The only option is to love them hahahaha
Family Guy "Fat Guy Strangler" 2005, Season 4, Episode 17
Ok, it's ironic that I caught this last night, because this is the exact ep that I plan to tie in with my dissertation. Look at it through the lens of Obesity Paradoxes: Effects of the Mainstream Media’s Influence on Weight Obsession and you'll begin to see why it's relevant. But yeah, I could go on and on about this, but then I wouldn't allow for any mystery when publishing my diss would I?!
The last two vids are included only to entice you to watch:
Top Chef Season 6
The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2
Ok folks, that's it for today. Gotta split. I'm on the road again around 5p (or earlier, cross my fingers) heading for the great Northern County of Clare... and I have Jet's on speed dial =)
